PDO Thread Lift

PDO Thread Lift — coming soon!

As we age, we lose elasticity, smoothness, and plumpness in our skin. Our skin starts to sag and wrinkle, making us look older. To have a dramatic improvement to our entire face, many turn to plastic surgery to have a face lift. Though it is effective, it is also a major surgery with long and painful recovery time. Luckily, there is a minimally invasive, FDA approved procedure, called PDO Thread Lift, which can produce similar results to the surgical face lift, with almost no recovery or down-time.

What is PDO Thread Lift?

PDO Thread Lift is a minimally invasive, FDA approved, procedure which helps tighten and lift skin on your face. The threads are made of polydioxanone (PDO), which have been specifically designed to safely get re-absorbed into your body. However, results are seen for a long time after the threads have dissolved.

In addition to skin lifting and tightening, PDO Thread Lift produces cellular rejuvenation effects. Your skin cells are stimulated to produce new collagen, and new blood vessels to improve skin microcirculation. At the same time, the PDO threads cause the fat tissue to contract, producing skin tightening and facial slimming effect. The PDO Threads are customized based on your face and specific concerns. Once properly placed, you will see instantaneous lift of the loose facial skin!

How Is the Procedure Performed?

Prior to the procedure, a local anesthetic (topical and/or injectable) will be applied to your face. Threads will be measured to fit your face perfectly. They will be inserted, just under your skin. The threads have “cones/graspers” on them, which grab hold of your skin from under the surface and pull to re-suspend the skin in a lifted, more youthful position. The entire process usually lasts 1-2 hours. The results may last anywhere from 6 months up to several years, though 21 months is the typical average.

Are There Any Side Effects of PDO Thread Lift?

Usually, there is little downtime after the thread lift procedure and most people can go back to their daily routine right away. Some people experience mild tenderness, redness, swelling, and bruising for a few days following the procedure. Our doctor will discuss all possible side effects during the pre-treatment consultation.

Who Shouldn’t Receive PDO Thread Lift?

If you are currently pregnant you should not have the PDO Thread Lift performed. Be sure to discuss all medications, vitamins, and supplements you are taking with our physician, during your pre-treatment consultation, to evaluate if you are a good candidate for the procedure. If you have any other concerns, during or after treatment, please contact our staff immediately.
