PRFM – Platelet-rich Fibrin Matrix

Platelet-rich Fibrin Matrix (PRFM) is the next generation Platelet-rich Plasma (PRP) which is a cosmetic procedure where your own blood is drawn and processed to extract the platelet-rich fibrin matrix. Platelets are particles in our blood that, when activated, release growth factors to stimulate cell growth and help the body to heal. 

PRP has many uses in medicine and is used in the treatment of tendons, joints and ligaments because of its powerful healing powers.

PRP for Skin

What’s the Process

This procedure is done in one appointment, but you may need several sessions to reach your desired results.  Your platelets are collected just before your procedure by our licensed phlebotomist.  Your blood is drawn and centrifuged to concentrate your platelets.  

The spinning separates the platelets from the other blood cells, which allows the retrieval of the platelet-rich fibrin matrix. 

After numbing the injection sites, our experienced clinician, Elieana, infuses the platelet-rich fibrin mixture in the treatment area.
